In recent years, many and unspecified persons, the family unit, an infant, a youngster and foreigner with the intention of a rest and lodging, are using the jjimjilbang. Thus the fire prevention counterplan is urgently demanded in advance. In this study, it proposed theoretically the counterplan for fire safety management of jjimjilbang (Korean sauna). The results presented for the hazards and counterplan in the respect of the characteristics of a user, supplementary room , facilities, legal contents. The results are summarized as follows ; 1. In the respect of the characteristics of a user, it needs controlling and watching for a carrying of inflammabiles under close guard, additional evacuation facility of a evacuation guiding line and an image of evacuation direction sign. 2. In the respect of supplementary room, it needs the correct use of electric wiring appliances, periodic checklist to prevent the possibility of electric fire, and the taking special precautions to vacate the seat of charging person in a dinning room. It must prohibit the smoking within jjimjilbang precincts. 3. In the respect of facilities, it needs the keeping safety distance of safety guard around a heating element, emergency alarm bell in a emission room. Also, It must not lay a carpet on a passageway staircase. 4. In the respect of the related laws and regulation for firefighting, it requires the installation of automatic fire detection equipment for more than the total area of 600？u？u. The review for the practical fire safety education according to a scale of business, the number of user is needed.
